With the small size and fast speeds of pocketbikes, they are manufactured for the primary purpose of racing. The races often take place in pit lanes, go cart tracks, or even in dirt race tracks. These races are often referred to as Mini GP races, making it a legal venue for racing 110cc super pocket rockets. However, these gas pocket bikes still need to be created with road safety rules in mind.

Most super pocket bikes today are not considered to be road safe, which is why it is often illegal to use them in public roads in various countries all over the globe. These countries include the UK, Canada, and the United States.
